Well, Ms. Ryan, an interesting question. Causes one to reflect on the joys of living. I've not heard this concern with male enhancement drugs. At my age clinical proof of deleterious effects would not… read more
My original oncologist has prescribed Zometa every four weeks. While traveling, I needed to make an appointment with a temporary oncologist to receive the infusions. The new oncologist, after reviewing my medical records, said there is no reason for me to get these infusions, since I have no bone lesions. I was newly diagnosed with mgus, a few months ago, my blood results are only slightly out of range, and I have had only one infusion so far. Which doctor should I believe? Should I get yet… read more
I had similar situation with only one small bone lesion. They originally recommended one infusion per month but now to one every three months after my SCT with a calcium pill each day. Works great

Oh I forgot one supplement: Immunocal, a glutathione precursor. I take 2 packets a day in pomegranate juice. Ok I think that’s it. 😅

Just to share I’ve been taking chewable B-12 5000 mcg for ten days and honestly feel I have more energy. I’ll comment back at 30 days. If you do try let me know what your experience is. And please check with your doctor before taking. Certainly don’t want it to interfere with your treatment meds. Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸
I don't take the chewables but I found a non drug, B-6/B12/Folic/and Potassium supplement, made by Excedrin, of all companies. I don't know if it's helping yet. It's a one a day but I take two… read more
I take Citracal Maximum Plus. Which is 630mg of calcium citrate and 1000 iu of D3. Calcium Citrate is easier on my stomach and I confirmed with my oncologist. I ordered it from Amazon. Been taking… read more
I’ve been taking collagen, vitamin D3, magnesium and calcium for the last year. And I’ve been on Zometa for 7 months. I had hoped it would improve my osteoporosis number of -2.8. However, my new bone density scan remained the same as 2 years ago when I was diagnosed. I’ve been in VGPR remission since December 2022.
I’ve read a case study saying people who have a SCT and Zometa/Xgeva are far more likely to have jaw death due to the SCT chemo med
