I was switched to Arredia. I had flu like symptoms from zometa. Everyone is different.
I had Zometa a few years ago and went to work immediately after.No proplems.
Told my hematologists about all the pain I’ve been having in random places and his suggestion was a steroid taper? Anyone else take a steroid for bone pain?
I’m on maintenance of 5Mg, my pain will come in my ankle, hip or back through the end of my cycle, I will take Dexamethazone 4mg for a couple of days that seems to work for me
I was given Zometa for the first time but the drip rate was 8 minutes. Upon reading about zometa, the minimum time states 15 minutes. Anyway, the next morning I could not breath it felt like I had a collapsed lung and I hurt all over. I went to the ED and they assured me I was getting air, they took a CAT scan and xrays of my lungs with nothing to show. I am especially interested in hearing about tooth extractions, and what options were offered to provide a functional, working mouth (ie) being able to chew, options for temporary or permanent bridges. And the risks involved with dental implants.

Has anyone had bone problems with their jaw after taking Xgeva? If so how soon did it happen? I am only on my third treatment and have a tingling sensation in my upper left jaw. Is there an alternative drug that doesn't carry the same risks?
