MMR Immunization And Velcade

MMR Immunization And Velcade

Has anyone had any issues getting a MMR immunization while being on Velcade? The clinic where I've been getting my childhood immunizations wouldn't give me one until they checked with my oncologist, and he couldn't be reached while I was there. It flagged giving me the MMR because it can cause interactions while on Velcade. I was eventually okayed to receive it from my specialist/pharmacist in Milwaukee. I am 15 months post SCT. My schedule states to get it after 14 months, but I've read that… read more

Velcade was responsible for crippling nuerapathy for me. If you feel tingling in your toes tell your doctor IMMEDIATELY. He can either reduce the dose or change you to something else.

Does Anyone Have Belly Bloat?

Does Anyone Have Belly Bloat?

Does anyone have belly bloat? This last month it’s gotten worse. Also I’ve been waking up to throwing up just water though. Not nauseous just waking up to it. Last night was bad. Threw out my pillow and had to shower at 3am. 🤷‍♀️😞

Yup, I also have belly bloat but I thought I was just getting fat. It is so very frustrating so I am going to a dietician to find out what I can do to combat this.

Did Anyone Know About The New Generic Velcade?

Did Anyone Know About The New Generic Velcade?

I just learned that I have been getting the generic Velcade since the beginning of July. I noticed there was huge price difference on my bill, and called my hospital to see if they had made a mistake. Turns out that it indeed was the correct pricing! It dropped $4000! That might also be why I've been feeling different after my last few injections. A little more run down, weaker and slightly nauseous. 🤔 Funny no one informed me of this at the infusion center.

Valcade Injection Site Redness And Bruising

Valcade Injection Site Redness And Bruising

On first cycle of VRD. First Velcade injection went well. Alittle redness that went away in two days. My second injection caused brusing and a rash
I did some research and their is a bubble technique that is recommended for the syringe. This is suppose to lessen any injection site swelling. We tried it today. So far so good! I was surprised that the nurses were not aware of this technique
Has anyone else experience injection site reactions with Velcade? Or heard of the bubble… read more

Leg Weakness

Leg Weakness

My husband was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2016. He's undergone treatment first with Revlimid/Velcade/Dexamethasone then on maintenance dose of Revelimid, and now on Darzalex/Pomalyst/Dexamethasone. He tolerates the treatment welll, but has serious weakness in his legs. Without his arms helping to propel him up, he wouldn't be able to stand. His balance has progressively gotten worse. We've seen several neurologists, but still have no answers as to what's causing this weakness. We… read more

What Treatment Can Anyone Recommend For Neuropathy On My Feet And Toes?

What Treatment Can Anyone Recommend For Neuropathy On My Feet And Toes?

Drugs treatment plan was Revlimid, Velcade, Dexaethasone. I stopped the Velcade once numbness and tingling got worse. I continue now with lower dose of Revlimid and Dexaethasone. The pain in my feet has gotten worse and have tried natural remedies but no relief. Dr prescribed Gabapentin and have taken now for a few weeks but was told it takes longer before I would notice if it’s helping. Had some bad side effects so now taking Lyrica which seems to be helping to take the burning sensation away… read more
