Has Anyone Gotten Improvement In Osteoporosis After Treatment?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve been taking collagen, vitamin D3, magnesium and calcium for the last year. And I’ve been on Zometa for 7 months. I had hoped it would improve my osteoporosis number of -2.8. However, my new bone density scan remained the same as 2 years ago when I was diagnosed. I’ve been in VGPR remission since December 2022.

I’ve read a case study saying people who have a SCT and Zometa/Xgeva are far more likely to have jaw death due to the SCT chemo med

I was on Xgeva monthly the first year, then every 3 months the 2nd year, then started every 6 months, but was stopped due to dental issues. My bone density improved. I also take vitamin d3 and calcium.

Laura, you didn't mention weight bearing exercises and strength training. That's supposed to help our bones. Did your doctor say anything about them?

Dr Brandy -has me take Strontium Citrate - 680mg, 2 hrs no food.

Pre & Probiotics, creating Butyrate in the Colon and the value of a Plant Diet to Enhance the Effectiveness of MM Treatment.

The FB Forum - BEATING MULTIPLE MYELOMA WITH A NATUROPATHIC APPROACH

Dr. Dominic Brandy - Beat Back Cancer Naturally:

Prior to treatment, loaded up on Vit D (moved from 38ng to 84ng - taking 15,000IU daily). Then plenty of Magnesium (400mg magnesium glycinate + 200mg magnesium citrate daily), Vit C (2000mg daily), Vit K2 (200mcg daily), Vit K (120mcg daily), Calcium Carbonate (1500mg - 2 TUMs daily), Strontium Citrate (680mg late at night - 2hrs away from any calcium intake).

The Proper Pre & Probiotics create Butyrate in the colon.
Butyrate resets the proper balance of IL-17 that is normally disrupted by active MM. When restored, osteoblasts activity is available to perform bone regeneration, provided adequate amount of Minerals and Vitamins are available.

The Pro & Pre Biotics:
Pendulum Glucose Control - 2 pills daily - Probiotic
Microbiome MegaPre - one scoop daily in 16oz water – Prebiotic.

Very Active Bone Lesion MM Tumor (Last Sept, 23')
I started Revlimid & Dex on Sept 1st. Cancer was gone in a week. Lesion was repair in 3 weeks. No Radiation or operations.

I agree but that's what my Rheumetologist said. So far I have refused to take them. I don't want dead bones. I want bones that will be able to heal.
