Hello all! I hope everyone is doing well. I’m wondering if my work career had anything to do with my issues. I worked as a R&D lab technician for 27 years and as a chemical operator for 7. The lab tech job had me working with toluene di-isocyanate, amine catalysts, styrene, ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, and other chemicals. My operator job at the plant dealt with producing pesticides. In that job, I worked with sulfur di-chloride, methomyl, pyridine, and methanol

Does anyone know if there is a Class Action lawsuit in the works related to Multiple Mylomia, and OTC Male Enhancement supplements which many have been proven to contain generic Viagra?

Well, Ms. Ryan, an interesting question. Causes one to reflect on the joys of living. I've not heard this concern with male enhancement drugs. At my age clinical proof of deleterious effects would not… read more
I’m sorry you are dealing with myeloma
I can only be grateful for how much research has been done and the success they’ve made in treating myeloma just in the past 5-10 years

Has anyone spoken to their oncologist about how the MM treatments are (hopefully) driving the numbers down to minimal residual disease but doesn’t address the genetic mutation in the bone marrow that’s producing the abnormal cells? Hence, MM comes back over time. We’re so focused on treating the disease with pills and injections, and new drugs for treatment that I never hear what the researchers are focused on to actually cure the disease.
This is the first paper I’ve read which addresses… read more

From day 1 my oncologist has said since multiple myeloma is incurable, there are no stages. So in over 10 years of treatments, stages have not come up. I tend to trust my oncologist 100% so I don’t believe in the stages.
I was "smoldering" and then "Full Blown". Thankfully my numbers and chart show me as barely being in remission. Yet still need the weekly treatments to stay there.
I see this going up.
I have a hard time getting any information out of my Oncologist.
Any suggestions on how to get information out of her.

She says is we are monitoring at times she says I don’t have Multiple Myeloma, and other times she does say I have Multiple Myeloma. So confusing.
I am taking Revelmid 15mg.
Hi Vince, are you able to get access to your patient portal? It helped me to look up my labs so I could understand why they were too low or too high.
@A MyMyelomaTeam Member Having high IgA, your question interested me enough to look it up. Here's a link to an article although I'll freely admit I understand about 10% of it at best. Yes, there are… read more
