I follow the trends of most all my blood tests and fortunately the values are consistent. My personal important markers have been the Kappa light chains, Lambda Light Chains, the Kappa/Lambda ratio… read more
Thank you for that very informative explanation @A MyMyelomaTeam Member !
My Kappa number is rising but my protein pattern is normal. Will, at some point, the protein reflect the Kappa numbers; if they keep rising?
Thank you for this link! 💛👍

Original diagnosis of lambda light chain myeloma but in remission after stem cell transplant
Cathy the light chain ratios are hard to understand. They can go up and down some too. I think they are more concerned with the pattern from month to month. All the best, Doloresđź«‚
Can someone explain if there’s a difference in “Light Chain MM” between “Kappa” and “Lambda” light chain MMs?

I just had my first follow-up for my Daratumumab treatment (based on bloods taken at 3/4 weeks and am disappointed that I haven’t started responding yet. I am in complete remission but the doctor is using the Dara to get me into MRD negativity. My light chains are still abnormal and at the levels of MGUS. Can anyone say that they took longer to start responding? I am extremely worried about drug resistant clones…
From what I’ve read, MGUS is usually the precursor of Multiple Myeloma. This is what was linked to mine.
