I follow the trends of most all my blood tests and fortunately the values are consistent. My personal important markers have been the Kappa light chains, Lambda Light Chains, the Kappa/Lambda ratio, and creatinine since I have IgA Kappa light chain multiple myeloma and make sure I am hydrating by following creatinine. The article below this posting should offer some help. I also look at lab testing and ranges given in the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation guide below. I do not react strongly to variations because each blood draw is one data point and the graph of my values offers a better statistical and technical perspective. I look at the trend especially since I am in remission and correlate the trend with my recent activities. Do not fret over individual values. Your oncologist will offer their assessment on your visits specific to your multiple myeloma , case history, and treatments.
