Shipmates
I was in perfect health, well maybe a few pounds overweight. I never took any pills except for my migraines. No high blood pressure no high cholesterol, no history of cancer in my family. I’m the first. I had my blood tests done at my physical in November 2020. Everything was fine, no problem. March and April 2021, I received my Covid vaccines and in November, 2021, I was told I had way to much protein in my blood. I needed to go to an oncologist and was diagnosed with… read more
My first COVID vaccine caused a spike in my light chains, but it was temporary. I don't remember if my protein pattern was effected..
I have gotten the initial 2 shots and have had 2 additional booster vaccines. My last booster was Nov. 18, 2021. When I called my doctor's office to ask if I needed another vaccine, they simply said yes you need one every six months. I don't want to overlook the fact that they are coming out with new vaccines that are more affective against some of the newer variants. I don't know if I should just get the original vaccine or wait for one of the newer ones. I'm curious to know what is being… read more
My oncologist said to get my 5th shot and I am fine. Never have had Covid yet. Knock on wood. Stay healthy and God Bless.
I will have my blood tested to determine if I have Covid antibodies. My doc provided a script.
I had a really severe reaction too my last Covid vaccine and ended up sick in bed for 5.5 months and that was the second time I had a reaction too the Covid vaccine so no more Covid vaccines for me… read more
I hear there are outbreaks again of Covid all over the United States. How does everyone feel about getting new vaccines again with all the evidence that has come forward on not working?with evidence showing they are not effective and can cause other problems?
Shipmate, Marsha, No thank you. I was as heathy as an ox. Never took any meds for high blood pressure, high cholesterol no diabetes, no nothing.. no history of cancer in my family. My Mom is 94, God… read more
I'm going to a trade show in Sept. and possibly another in Oct.
I'm still immune compromised and its probably going to be a long time before my immune system will recover. Due to Covid, I've mostly been working from home but not exclusively - food shopping, restaurants, recently movies again, and endless doctor, PT, and now gym visits, etc.
Being on a plane and in close contact to thousands of people at a trade show is a whole new level of exposure that concerns me.
Thanks
So sorry🥴
Does anybody have any info on the newly approved Covid drug PAXLOVID?
Yes, the hospital called me about that. That's what scares me. I'm just afraid, from what I have read, that there will inevitably more after that and more often. That is, if our weakened systems can… read more
My husband was diagnosed after Covid pandemic.
Because there are so many side effects with the various medications and also the symptoms of MM create similar problems it’s difficult to figure what you should ignore and what it’s possible your doctor can help with.
I just was extremely exhausted and spent most my time in bed for 5 months a lot like really bad flu symptoms except no fever.
Hi everyone, what's your opinion (or your doctor's) on getting re-vaccinated for common vaxs like measles, mumps, etc., after having undergone a successful autologous SCT?
Greetings from Alaska they have not said anything about giving me another tetanus shot. It’s only been 90 days since I had the first shot. I think of cost if I start going to get re-vaccinated every… read more
Hi
I am on Daralex and dexamethasone for maintenance therapy. I ask my doctor about getting the Covid 19 vaccine and was told it may not be as effective because of the maintenance therapy. They did not say I could not get the vaccine, but I should check to see what the CDC guidelines were.
Thanks

I was advised by my Specialist to get the new booster, so I did. I had sore arm for a few days, but that is all. I was sick after the third shot, so was expecting the worse. I was very surprised… read more
