Are You Going To Get The Covid Vaccine?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I hear there are outbreaks again of Covid all over the United States. How does everyone feel about getting new vaccines again with all the evidence that has come forward on not working?with evidence showing they are not effective and can cause other problems?

I’m boosting my zinc and D3 & K2 intake to keep my immune system strong. They said people who got bad cases of Covid had low levels. It sure can’t hurt us to boost our immune system.

I’m in agreement with Pbaldini comments.

I will not be getting anymore vaccinations. Just now we’re finding out that Covid shots were really not that effective from getting the virus and can possible cause heart issues.

I had both vaccinations and one booster. Had Covid in July of ‘22.

I recently developed a heart condition going into Afib and had a Mitral value leakage that has been successfully treated after taking medicine and two heart procedures. Never had any heart issues before and not sure if this can be traced back to vaccines or just age but not willing to take anymore risks with all the latest information coming out about being ineffective and causing side effects.

My Oncologist also strongly recommended I get vaccines but not sure at that point anyone knew about side effects since they didn’t have much of the correct information and had not really been throughly tested.

It really comes down what you’re comfortable with and your own personal choice.

The Covid shot causes an M spike. Not exactly what I would want to add to my SMM. It also kills too many young healthy boys, stopping their hearts. Too many people have had serious side effects. It’s an experimental shot. It is not a vaccine. Vaccines prevent infection. I’ve had Covid twice. Bad the first time and mild the second. Just my 2 cents.

You do need to wear the n95 masks as they reported the surgical and cloth masks don’t work. I am not relishing the idea of wearing masks again. I think I am just dealing with cancer burnout and want my old normal back!

I did hear a webinar, I believe it was one of the Dana Faber doctors, that did have patients that converted to myeloma from MGUS after getting the Covid vaccines. Just a coincidence? I don't know. But I did get an m spike of 0.4 after one if the vaccines. I hadn't had a spike for several months. Getting Covid can also cause clots and heart problems. I believe in vaccines, but I just think they need to do more research. I'm going to see how things play out. I think the ones like me with very low immunoglobulins, need to wear masks again.
