What Is Your Take On The Covid Vaccines And A Spike In Your Protein Level?

Shipmates
I was in perfect health, well maybe a few pounds overweight. I never took any pills except for my migraines. No high blood pressure no high cholesterol, no history of cancer in my family. I’m the first. I had my blood tests done at my physical in November 2020. Everything was fine, no problem. March and April 2021, I received my Covid vaccines and in November, 2021, I was told I had way to much protein in my blood. I needed to go to an oncologist and was diagnosed with… read more

I have had two Vaccines and two boosters with no I’ll side effects. A little known and unpublished fact boys and girls. Every strain of the flu prior to 2020 has also been a COVID strain. 2020 was the first time it was called by its name. COVID 19 is the 19th variant of this flu.
So as I have said in the past I listen to my oncologist and my care team. Last year I also received two injections3 weeks apart of some types of something just for cancer patients to boost the immune system to fight the flu.
So you must do what you are comfortable with.
All I know is following their instructions I have not had a cold, or any Flu/COVID symptoms since I was diagnosed in July of 2021
Good luck

I followed what my oncologist tells me, for I am not smarter then she is. I had a SCT this past January and given the fact that the chemo pre transplant wipes everything out I had to start replacing all the vaccinations from childhood on. This past Monday was my every 4 week checkup and she told me to get the latest COVID booster which I did today.
I will continue to follow her instructions to the letter as I feel this is my best chance at long term survival.
But I do know that a person must be comfortable in their decisions

Best of luck going forward!
Mike

I'm in remission from Car T Therapy I have had recent shots for the flu, Shingles, all Covid shots including bivalent. I also had pneumococcal vaccine with no problems so far, my protein levels have stayed the same. My suggestion is to go by what your Oncologist tells you do. Tell him or her what you told us and get answer, I asked my oncologist and was told to get vaccinated due to being considered immune deficient.
