I do not about cart but I do know it is hard to gett
I will see oncologist next week but blood tests and symptoms are classic myeloma. What is the immediate treatment for the bone pain to stop the myeloma growth? I just sit here imaging my bones being eaten away everyday.
We all go through it but that doesn’t make it any less upsetting. Stay off the internet, most of those posts are already outdated. No one can answer that question. Talk to your doctor about your… read more
I remember my doctor saying no alcohol during induction chemo but haven’t asked him during maintenance. What can you tell me about it? What has your doctor advised? I’m currently on the maintenance regimen of 10mg Revlimid 21/7, dexamethasone and Darzalex monthly.
I have about 2 small glasses of red wine per month. I enjoy it with pizza! My oncologist is aware and does not say I couldn't have any. ☺
I'd like to know how you made the decision to stop the MM Meds.
Was it your choice or doctor recommended - any details would be great.
I'm now MRD Negative. My Doc has placed me on MM Meds holiday. Now with the Jan 2022 Report about MRD-SURE, I plan to stay in Labs Monitoring Mode with no MM Meds and only add back Revlimid, if a future Labs indicates the need. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Very good advice😉
I know I’m silly doing it but I just can’t help it. I worry everyday about dying from this cancer. I finish my first line of treatment on Thursday. I’ve had 6 months of dvtd and a stem cell transplant. Family say, be positive, don’t think about what and when, but I’m finding it difficult.
We are all going to die, part of life. I just do what I can to deal with life as it comes my wsy.
Shipmates, 20 months and going strong. Thankful to be alive.
It depends on your condition and Oncologist
How long does it take for the immune system to rebound?
I had mine in 2012, took about a month before I started to feel good, still fighting it going on 12 years. Good luck with yours.
How many of us think about the root cause of this worldwide disease? Is it caused by environmental factors, or viruses, or diet, DNA mutations or stress? Although experts say that genetic MM mutations are acquired and not inherited, family history is a known risk as we’ve read from many stories from our teammate’s family members also having MM. Genderwise: Men are slightly more likely to develop myeloma than women. Racewise: Black people are twice as likely to develop myeloma than white people… read more
