Ahoy, shipmates. I’m having another bone marrow biopsy on Tuesday in the doctors office. No hospital setting..
I believe. It’s 6 months since my SCT. I would like to know what medication should I ask for so that the biopsy is not so painful. My bones are very soft. Usually, they need to work very hard to get samples. My left side is the only side they can receive the necessary samples. Thank you all for your help. What about quality of life? I just had another BMB and it was just as painful as the first. The only good thing is that it latest for a few minutes instead of an hour. It seems that there is no norm when getting pain medicine for it.
I have also had a bone marrow biopsy with anesthesia and it was so much better.

Should we space out our medications or is it alright to take one right after another, if instructions do not specify how something is to be ingested. For example; I know someone who takes several supplements all at once. His medications, many times the same way. I know thyroid medication has to be taken on an empty stomach, so that means first pill in the morning.....for me. I have to wait at least 30 min. before I eat or take another pill. Some people have light chain only myeloma. No m spike. But they would have an elevated band on immunofixation and electrophoresis. Elevated light chains are not good for our kidneys
I would ask a podiatrist as there are various types of neuropathy and treatments may be different.
