want to share a little update about my journey. Recently I went for a CT scan of my lungs, and today the doctor explained the results to me. They found some changes in my left lung compared to before. There are areas where the lung lining looks thicker, and a small mass in the lower part of the left lung has grown a bit since my last scan. Because of these changes, the doctors want to do another test called a bronchoscopy, where they use a small camera to look inside the airways and take samples to understand it better. Hearing all this was not easy for me. It made me emotional because it feels like one thing after another. But at the same time, I am thankful that I am already under medical care and the doctors are taking steps to find out exactly what

I believe in my doctors. From diagnosis to maintenance to remission — they treat me, they watch my blood, they look after my overall treatment and follow up

What a meaningful question — which matters more in living with myeloma: faith or medicine?

Trusting your medical team is a powerful foundation. Having doctors who monitor your blood, guide your treatment, and walk with you through every stage — from diagnosis to remission — is genuinely invaluable.

Many MyMyelomaTeam members feel exactly the same way. As one member put it, they needed a doctor who truly listens, explains results clearly, and talks about options rather than just giving instructions. That said, many members find that faith and medicine aren't really in competition — they work together. Some members pray, meditate, or lean on spiritual community alongside their treatment. Others channel their faith into maintaining a positive mindset, which they feel supports their healing journey.

The beautiful thing is there's no wrong answer here. Whether your anchor is your medical team, your faith, or both — what matters most is that something gives you strength and keeps you going. 💙

Why is there a need to pick which one….what matters the most is to personally embrace the journey one is on and not to add added distractions to one’s walk.
Let’s try to embrace the right now…the today that one lives in.
Our lives have been altered. Adding the burden of choosing medical science versus one’s faith…..may hinder one for appreciating the right now that one has.
