@A MyMyelomaTeam Member I agree baby steps. When I go to Costco I consider that a decent walk. LOL There are others here that are doing more which is awesome. Some days I feel pretty good and can do more. Other days I hurt too much so take it easy. I used to push myself but I don’t think that’s a good idea with having this disease no matter what stage you are at. It’s great to hear so many are exercising and feel better. Stay strong 💪 and thanks everyone for your feedback!
I am walking 1 mile per day. I'm amazed at many of you walking three+ miles per day. I'm not able to that. One mile per day plus other activities that keep me on my feet. Maybe I'm on the right track; I'll be starting CAR T-Cell treatment next Wednesday; I've passed All of the diagnostic testing preparing for that. I'm still fairly strong; I can still lift heavy tool boxes and set them on a shelf above my head.
I daily walk for 1.5 km two times in a day. Plus doing some stretches for 15 minutes. Daily 15 min of Pranayam in morning. This gives me great relief in my back pain and I feel more energetic and relaxed.
My daily exercise is what I like to call 'Housework'. I haven't been able to do any for such a long time due to fatigue and pain, which now, of course, I know was from MM. And back pain due to pinched nerves which have been taken care of with ablation therapy. My great husband is so helpful with the heavy stuff, but dusting, cooking, keeping the kitchen clean, etc. I can do.
I ride an exercise bike while I drink my morning coffee. I do feel better with daily exercise.
