I would think that due to MM affecting a very small percentage of the population the return on investment for Pharma does not lend itself for the creation of generic drugs. This keeps the cost of our family of drugs pretty high.
Supply and demand. Those of us with MM are in the same kind of situation of others with ailments that are not shared with the greater population. My wife had breast cancer, that impacts a large percentage of the female population. Therefore the costs per patient is much smaller than if it was only 1% of women.
Just my thoughts.
I was told that a month's worth of Rev. is over 24,000.00, back when I started taking it. I think the person was explaining how Medicaid/Humana saves me for this one drug. As it was, I paid 5.00 a month. One needs excellent insurance or some kind of assistance.....just for prescriptions
I agree with you ………and it sucks 🤬 you would think 14 Billion for JUST Darzalex!!! Would be enough! I wonder what is the cost for ALL OF THE MM treatments!!!🤔
Milton, that's the tip of the iceberg. Google: propublica the price of remission.
From ads , I hope a cure is not that far off. It's expensive now, so if a cure is found, we'll have to sell everything to get it......I think.
