(Sarclisa)-VRD Treatment Information

Good evening- my treatment date was changed to Thursday. I am getting the Isatuximab (Sarclisa)-VRD treatment fir the first time (first time diagnosis). I am R-ISS Stage I (Standard); kappa light chains and mild anemia (caused myleoma). Other than the back fractures (Zometa Infusions), blood work normal. Wondering has anyone had this treatment, and what was your experience?

Common side effects to watch for include:

- Diarrhea
- Lower blood cell counts
- Temporary reactions during infusion (fever, chills, dizziness, or trouble breathing)

Your healthcare team will monitor you closely during your first infusion, especially since initial treatments can sometimes cause infusion reactions. Make sure to let them know immediately if you experience any discomfort.

Since you're R-ISS Stage I with otherwise normal blood work, you're starting treatment at a favorable stage. The combination of Sarclisa with VRD has shown effectiveness for newly diagnosed myeloma patients.
