Shortness of breath (dyspnea) is a common symptom during myeloma treatment. It can occur due to anemia or kidney-related complications from the disease. While concerning, there are several ways to manage breathing difficulties.
Here are some helpful breathing techniques to try:
• Breathe in through your nose and out through pursed lips
• Take slow, controlled breaths
• Practice holding breath for 1-2 seconds before exhaling
• Repeat breathing exercises 10 times as needed throughout the day Position and activity adjustments can also help:
• Prop your head up with pillows when lying down
• Sit upright and lean forward with arms resting on a surface
• Limit stair climbing and other strenuous activities
• Plan necessary activities with rest breaks
• Keep your environment clean and well-ventilated
Be sure to discuss any breathing difficulties with your healthcare team, as they may need to adjust your treatment plan or address underlying causes like anemia or kidney issues.

I have a DVT in my left calf. I am on Eliquis. They only want me to take it short term. I go to the CARDIOLOGIST tomorrow morning.

WRS, it sounds like they want to make sure the Eliquis is on board before starting the Revlimid back. Revlimid can cause clots. Hoping you do well. Very frightening to have clots. 🙏

Yes, I had 7 clots. 4 in leag and 3 in lung. Ones in lung are gone due to procrdure, now I am on Eliquist. This happened when I was on my off week of Revelimid. Now they want me to go 2 weeks more with out the Rev? That will me 3 weeks w/out it. Not sure if I like that, but they said it will help to get the eliquist started?
