Yes, shortness of breath (dyspnea) is a common symptom with myeloma, especially during physical activities like walking long distances or climbing stairs. This often happens because myeloma can cause anemia - a condition where you have low red blood cells that carry oxygen throughout your body. Here are some helpful tips to manage activity-related breathing issues:

- Take slow, even breaths through your nose and out through pursed lips
- Plan your day according to your symptoms
- Limit unnecessary stair climbing
- Take frequent rest breaks between activities
- Don't overexert yourself
- When resting, prop your head up with pillows rather than lying flat

If you're experiencing new or worsening breathing problems, be sure to discuss this with your healthcare provider as they can help identify the underlying cause and adjust your treatment plan accordingly.

But at the same time, I am thankful that I am already under medical care and the doctors are taking steps to find out exactly what
