My doctor said there was no problem with pets. The problems come with sex, nursing, giving the pills to others, disposing of the bottles properly, and such. It is essential to wash your hands before and after taking the pills. Since this is related to thalidomide, it can cause birth defects. The instructions come with the pills. I think they are probably in the literature on this website also, but am not sure.
