I did not know Zinc helps the P53 gene, did you? In the latest post from Dr Jockers he says it does and says it helps with T cells.
Hi Kathryn, the p53 gene is the tumor suppressor gene. It is involved in a lot of cancers, not just myeloma. It is found on the short arm of the 17th chromosome. Having 17p deletion means myeloma can be hard to treat. The cancer cells don't know when to put on the brakes to stop tumor growth. Probably why I'm still MRD positive after being on treatment for over 6 years, plus having a transplant. But I'm doing well anyway. 😉💖
My oncologist never mentioned Zinc for my low immune system, which everyone has because of MM. and I would never take any drugs that my oncologist doesn’t recommend. It might do more harm than good. remember MM is in your bloodstream and bones it’s not in one particular area say like pancreatic cancer, etc. etc.
Donna,
I don’t take it everyday. Since I have had this diarrhea for months, I stopped taking most of my supplements. I thought my blood tests would be worse, but only one went up. Stable and steady so far.

Paula, please watch the excess copper. It can build up I our system and cause problems 🙏🥰💕

I’m glad zinc doesn’t seem to bother me. I’ve doubled up on in during cold and flu season. I also doubled garlic and D3 intake.
