Does Anyone Have Pain In Their Lower Left Flank (between Their Hip And Ribs).
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was told it might be bowel pain, but even after I have bowel movements, I still have the pain. Any ideas? I have what I consider normal Myeloma pain (from compression fractures in my back), and other pain throughout my torso, but this pain is resolved by my Fentanyl and Dilaudid. However, this pain isn't resolved by either opioid.

Hi MarshaHunterHansen, Thanks for the info on Revlimid... That is interesting that your pain got better when thr dose was lowered. I did Revlimid for 12 weeks but it didn't do the job so I failed that treatment. Then I did Pomelyst for a while and that treatment failed. Then they tried 10 days to collect my stem cells and it failed. Lastly, they sent me back for more infusions & that failed & put me 34 days in the hospital. So, that is why I qualify for Car-T!

I was taking a 20 mg dose of Revlimid a year ago but was light- headed from it and tired so my oncologist took me off it for a couple of months then dropped the dose to 5 mg. I have no side effects now and my labs say I am still in remission. Fingers crossed I stay that way.

I've also have the pain, and I have been blessed that it's not constant but daily. Does anyone know what is causing this? My doctor's say it's not the cancer, so what is it. If I knew maybe I could stop it. I'm on oxycodone 5 mg for the pain, it helps a little.

Diane, I have the same pain. It isn't constant and I'm thankful for that. It helps hearing all the responses and what can help. I'm on 10mg Revlimid. Like Anthony, it isn't constant, so I live with it.

I have this problem on the right side on rare occasions. I was told it was a side effect of the revlimid. It causes a muscle cramp in the abdominal organs that have muscle tissue. It doesn’t last long and rarely happens more often then once every six or eight weeks. So, I live with it.
