I was referred into SCT protocol. I had to refuse for now due to lack of caregivers.My.oncologist did not seem concerned as my chemo has apparently stopped progression of of SMM and AL Amyloidosis. He is going to continue me on chemotherapy schedule.Has anyone else on page not had a SCT? Please tell me how you are doing and how long? Anyone's opinion is welcome.

Sherry, no I didn't have an inhaler but I was premedicated with Singular, Tylenol 1 gram, Benadryl 25 mg, Dexamethasone 20 mg. I drive myself to the treatments. Never had a reaction. No side effects that I can tell. Praise God! I now take My premeds in the car on the way in. The nurses watch you really well. If you are going to have a reaction it will be with the first one. Emory does the first infusion in one day. The other clinic split up the first infusion over 2 days. I had to start the infusions from the beginning after my transplant. Don't know why exactly
