I think that in the last 5 years that medications do as much now as a SCT. Its worth talking to your hematologist

I think you researched and did the preliminary treatment. I know it's nerve wrecking, but only you can decide, huh? I hope your transplant extends your life for many decades....it could happen, especially with advances in medicine! 💛🙏✊✊✊

They turned me down for SCT in 2008 and told me I had 'six months, maybe' left to live. Thank you, Lord!

I will be 77 next month and I chose to pass on SCT. I researched not only the bad parts but some of the good and there was no guarantee that it would extend remission. I've never had any problems with my induction medications, so I 🤷 decided to keep doing what I have been. I have a second PET scan coming up, & seeing an orthopedic surgeon to determine if my sciatica nerve is getting inflamed. Honestly I was comfortable with my decision. The chemo is strong & I didn't want to go through the pain. Keep in touch!

Glamgirl, they rejected me for SCT in 2008. Not only that, she gave me "six months, maybe" of remaining life. I was taken off chemo in 2010, and I ain't been back. I still do annual bloodwork followed by a video conference with my Oncologist. (Kaiser Permanente, Largo, MD) During our last talk, he said "You're CURED. Glamgirl, I'm wrong a lot, but I don't lie!
