Members overwhelmingly confirmed that fatigue from lenalidomide is very real, reassuring someone newly questioning their experience on a 14 on, 14 off cycle. A popular tip was switching to taking the medication in the evening, with many sharing it worked like a sleep aid and reduced daytime tiredness significantly. Several members also encouraged giving yourself grace, getting extra rest when possible, and a few mentioned that light exercise can help manage fatigue levels.

It is definitely not your imagination! Myeloma itself causes fatigue as a symptom, as does lenalidomide as a side effect. It is not your imagination at all. Myeloma itself makes you tired. Between the disease and treatment, I figure I'm lucky if I have 6 hours a day when I am awake and functioning. Well, not quite that bad, but some days it feels like it. Get the rest you need and fight through it when you can. And give yourself grace when you can't.

It is not your imagination. The fatigue is real. As crazy as it sounds, exercise does help with mitigating the fatigue.

Hi, Cheri, as you can see, lenalididomide makes you tired. Get as much sleep as you can. It has taken my husband a little while to understand I don’t just want to watch U-Tube half the night. Ha. So many other people are fighting this battle and many other diseases. You have a lot of company! God bless.

@A MyMyelomaTeam Member No, it’s definitely not your imagination, the fatigue is real. I just try to be patient with myself and allow myself the extra rest when I need it. Sometimes life doesn’t allow it, but when I’m able, I try to get extra rest.

While on treatments get a low dose of Ritalin. Depending as needed, 5mg 3x daily and even up to 10mg 3x daily.

I took 10mg 3x daily for about 18 months and then dropped to 5mg 2x or 3x for about 3 years. Now I’m just taking it 1x, 2x or none daily, as needed.

It gave me back my mental focus and energy to work through phases of my recovery - now on No MM Meds for 3 years.
