Darlene,
Nutritional Yeast is helpful in keeping weight on. It is also helpful in protecting the nerves from neuropathy. I take 2 heaping teaspoons a day.

Darlene,
I usually take my 2 heaping teaspoons of Nutritional Yeast with Cashew milk and honey or Unsulphered blackstrap molasses. I’m allergic to cow’s milk. You can also take it with apple juice, or put it in your oatmeal or popcorn. The B vitamins in it really help me. My mother had Stage IV ovarian cancer for years. She always took Nutritional Yeast multiple times a day and she never got neuropathy and her blood work always looked good.

When our son played college football to gain and maintain his playing weight he consumed ice cream and pa in large quantities daily along with potatoes every other day
I hope this helps

Darlene,
Your gut biome is also important in keeping weight on. If your intestines cannot absorb the food, you will not maintain weight. Butyrate in the gut is important. Probiotics and prebiotics can help. Avoiding sugar helps. There is also a Butyrate supplement, but you can also create it yourself with a certain diet. I like to read Dr Jockers articles talking about health.
