I notice small rising or lump on the outer side of my left hand two months ago. since then it has gotten a litter larger. what is it and what is causing it?

Yes, myeloma starts in our bone marrow. It can manifest on the skin. It needs evaluated by your doctor.

Mine was on my thumb also. It stuck out like a hard bone. It was also painful. Fortunately it gradually goes away, if it is Bouchard’s node.

Please call your doctor. I have had painful boney growths stick out on my hands. They come and go. They are called Bouchard’s nodes. I have osteoarthritis. Don’t assume you have this. Get checked.
