Well, in my case, I was first put on Revlimid, and my numbers were stable except my White Blood cell count was low. (always has been) Then I was put on Pomalyst, and I had really bad reactions, so I went on Revlimid again. Had a Stem Cell Transplant and am on no Cancer meds. My monoclonal protein has been zero for 8 months. It has been a long road, 5 years, but I am doing well. I think a very good diet and daily exercise help. Good Luck everybody
I’m still on a low dose of Revlimid. About 4 months ago I went from 5mg for 28 days to 21 days on and 7 off. Numbers are still good.
Yes, Stopping Revlimid does affect your labs, but it depends on where we are in treatment. Stopping at the right time would certainly help your labs. But if we stop too soon and our myeloma gets out of control, our labs would probably go downhill.
At my oncologist’s suggestion I went off Revlimid over a year ago. Never had a transplant. My lab tests have steadily improved-all normal a few weeks ago.
I like and trust your oncologist. Please tell him/her so. google; propublica: the price of remission. See what we pay for a pill that costs 25 cents to make.
Off chemo since 2010, 84, shooting for 100.
