Hi Kishia, Since diagnosed in January 2024, I've had 1 CT, 2 PT & 2 biopsies. Never an MRI. My oncologist is not keen on ordering PT. In fact, if I didn't hound him because of pain in my lower back, he never would have given me the second PT. He said, with out a doubt the PT would show no reoccurrence or advancement of MM, he said that based on the monthly blood tests. He was right, I undoubtedly over exerted myself with overdoing my exercises.
I guess every doctor uses different methods.

A PET Scan is more likely to cover the arms and legs than an MRI. As I understand it, MRI covers just the body torso unless the doctor specifically asks for them to be covered. It takes different coils, etc. This is just what I have found on a quick study, Have you had a PET Scan yet?

A PET scan will tell you where the MM is. Bone pain is a common symptom of MM. But until everything is done to ascertain stage of disease a plan cannot be made. But there are many options out there that are so effective and can put disease in remission and make you feel better. I know, I was brought back to life!

What stage do you have? MM is classified in 3 stages. That can determine treatment regimen. There are many options but I can't comment because I don't know where you are with the disease.
