Hi Angela. I had cataract surgery two years ago and it was awesome. I could see clearer and things were brighter. It was from the drugs I was on for 3 years. Revlimid, Xgeva, Elo, and a few others. Revlimid was brutal. Last year I had side effects from the surgery. Right eye had floaters, and left eye had a blob that made my vision blurry. I had laser surgery on both eyes but the right eye is better but the left eye still is blurry. I don't know what to do next. My right eye has floaters and there's nothing they do about floaters. And it is from the cancer drugs. I'm on different drugs now. Darzalex Fastpro and Polmalyst. It's one of the side effects of the drugs we take and probably from age also. I'm 76.But not an Old 76 if you know what I mean. Nothing fazes me anymore. Anything that happens to me now is definitely from the MM drugs. I'm now being tested for Afib. Oh happy days. @A MyMyelomaTeam Member Yes, Angela chemo accelerated the need for cataract surgery. And I am one that doesn’t like my eyes touched but I had the surgery last year and it was way easier than I thought and my vision is awesome. Only have to wear glasses close up. Even though the chemo accelerated this it’s a well worth surgery. Wishing you all the best!
