Currently I am in remission and my Oncologist has also stopped Lenalidomide. Now I am having Calcium Citrate teblets and Biphosphonate (Zolendronic Acid IV every three months). But since last week I am suffering from very high itching in my both legs. What may be reason for this? Is there any drug to get rid of this?

Itching can be a lingering side effect even after stopping medications like lenalidomide. About 19% of people who take lenalidomide experience itchy rashes, and these symptoms may persist for some time after discontinuation.

Here are some treatment options that may help manage the itching:

• Over-the-counter anti-itch creams
• Prescription steroid creams (like mometasone) for short-term use
• Oral antihistamines like Benadryl
• Staying well-hydrated (aim for 11-15 cups of water daily) It's important to discuss these symptoms with your healthcare team, as they can properly evaluate the cause and recommend the most appropriate treatment. They may prescribe stronger medications if over-the-counter options aren't providing relief. Some MyMyelomaTeam members have reported success with prescribed steroids for managing similar symptoms.
