My MRI results included the above mentioned. A solitary Plasmacytoma is separate from MM? a single tumor, but I can still have both the tumor and MM?

In 2021, I found my Radiologist to be very closed minded about the ideas of my Interventional Radiologist. When I cancelled the Radiation Treatment that was scheduled and absolutely not needed (it was just inflammation at my L4 from my Kyphoplasty Ablation), the Radiologist called me and said I was "Making a Mistake to Not get the Radiation" - he was completely Wrong. Just as my Interventional Radiologist said, my next imaging, few months later, showed all of that Inflammation was gone.
Back in 2021, there was so much I didn't know. We expect we can trust our Docs but I've learnt, there's plenty they either Don't Know are Aren't Willing to Consider. Unfortunately, they are the Hammer and We Are the Nail - we're Also a Pay Day, especially when all of the charges are covered by Insurance.
My Interventional Radiologist stated that Radiation should be used as a Last Resort. He stated that Treatment Meds are systemic (able to kill cancer anywhere).
He also offered that that Radio Frequency Ablation can be used to kill off cancer at a single plasmacytoma.
Twice my Interventional Radiologist advised me against Radiation. In both cases (2021 & 2023), he was correct.
I’m now 4 years past my MM diagnosis in Sept 2021 and 2 years past my Single Plasmacytoma in Sept 2023.
I remain MRD Negative, on No MM Meds, no Collection of my Sten Cells and no SCT .
My original Stage 2, t4;14 that was 5.1 MSpike and 5915 IgA is gone and my Labs remain excellent
No annual BMB, no annual Imaging - simply Monitoring via Monthly Labs and Quarterly Blood Sample clonoSEQ MRD Tests - now 8 quarters that have remained Negative since my single plasmacytoma treatment in Sept 2023 (2 months of Revlimid and Dex)
Kathryn, you primary will call your oncologist to get the next steps.
@A MyMyelomaTeam Member saying a prayer for you that this is easily taken care of. Gosh it’s the gift that doesn’t stop giving. Yes, tell them the treatment you are willing to have. It’s surprising the options you have when you push them. It’s your body and you know it the best and it is your ultimate decision. Stay positive 👍
