Recently had the drill method at my oncologist clinic. So much better than the needle. I could actually do it again without hesitation. I wore headphones with loud music. The doctor gave me Ativan and morphine. It would be wonderful to have a blood test instead. I hope this is going to come about sooner than later.

If you must get a BMB, get it at a hospital under light sedation with a guided fluoroscope procedure. It’s painless and they are sure they get a good biopsy on the first try.

WOW!! I would try anything if I never have to have another bone marrow biopsy!! A fellow MM Warrior did tell me that the BMX with an electric drill hurts FAR LESS than the one with the hand-cranked drill. Maybe I'll get them one for Christmas!!
