Paula 🌹,
That’s sounds a little scary and exhausting. You are not imagining and you are not alone
Neuropathy can cause burning, weakness, and unsteady legs.
Inflammation can cause stiffness, pain, and heaviness, especially in the morning. Both can exist together.

Long-term treatment, steroids, or inactivity can worsen muscle and nerve symptoms. It’s important to ask for clarity.
A neurologist or rheumatologist opinion can help. Blood tests, nerve studies, or MRI may explain more than PET alone.

The feeling that your legs may collapse can come from muscle weakness, nerve involvement, or joint instability.
Many of us learn to pause, stand, and test our balance first.

PET scan activity in the forearms and lower legs often points to inflammation or nerve-related changes, not always cancer.
Neuropathy and inflammation can overlap, which makes symptoms confusing.

Standing slowly, using support, and warming up the body are smart and safe.
Please keep asking for a clear explanation and consider a neurology or rheumatology review.
You deserve answers and relief. 🌹

Yes you are right. When I move more it does help. It’s after I sit for a while or get out of bed in the morning I feel like I got hit by a truck!
It’s frustrating but then I should be grateful that things aren’t any worse.

yes I have those days, it's like an excess of lactic acid, makes my muscles feel " hot" If I move around a bit more it helps. I'm in remission since April.

Hi Jessie,
I have SMM. I take MRM Bone Maximizer III (4 capsules) with extra D3 & K2 (2 capsules), Vitamin C and Collagen. I was diagnosed with severe Osteoporosis in 2019 and this regime is helping me. I am not on Prolia or other drugs, since I do not want the side effects. My symptoms have been cramping, (which have gone away since I take these supplements), Bone pain, dizzyness, gait issues, fatigue, and brain fog.

Jessie,
I have osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, and when I get out of bed I have to stand and slowly take a step, hoping my legs are working and will not collapse. I’m stiff all over. My forearms and lower legs lit up on my PET scan. No one has told me what it is. Neuropathy? Inflammation?
