Hi. I was noticing my hair thinning but it was not due to the SMM but rather Vitamin D deficiency which is prevalent with MM. I would suggest you get your vit D levels checked. With my Vitamin D levels up again my hair is thicker again.
Hi Paula.
Once again you break my heart because you remind me of my daughter. 💕
Recently I've noticed that when I do excessive work in the summer heat, that hair clogs the drain when I shower that evening.
I don't think you're there(around 64)but stress is probably getting the best of you.
I hope you can find a peaceful medium.
Let life run it's course and relax in the fact that you've done all you can and that you've loved harder than anyone could.
I feel your pain Hun and pray for your peace. 💕

@A MyMyelomaTeam Member,
You have great advice. I have been stressed. My Dad has become a handful at the Memory Care Home. They are so patient and kind to him, but he has gotten aggressive a few times, so now they are talking about Medication for that. We hired a private caregiver to come after 4 PM when he “Sundowns.” I bring him to my home to sit on the porch and read, but lately he has refused or walked off! I had to chase him. It definitely can be stress. I’m also thinking it may have to do with my hormones which were affected by Cushing’s. I don’t produce any DHEA and my other hormones are low. I’m not sure if I can have hormone therapy with SMM, but I will consult the doctor. It’s funny, but one of the first questions I asked, was whether all treatments caused hair loss. I’m really paranoid about that, and now it happening anyway. With only a couple of hairs on my eyebrows, I do look like I have had chemo. I can fix that with makeup, but not the hair loss on my head.

Paula, I agree with Teddy. You have been under a lot of stress. I do take biotin. I think it does help my hair and nails grow. I make sure I get plenty of protein as well.
I hate it when men have prettier legs than I do. 🤣
