I have been in a clinical trial since 1-2-24 and has been successful for me. I am MRD negative meaning no cancer cells were found after last testing. Initially I had some reactions but they have subsided except I haven’t gotten all my taste buds back yet. I get 3 injections in my tummy monthly. Pretty easy peasy.
@A MyMyelomaTeam Member - you didn’t read my message correctly. I’m MRD Negative which means no cancer cells were found during last testing. That is better than being in remission.
@Ripnlips-yes 2 injections of Talvey and 1 injection of Daratumumab. There are 810 of in the world on this clinical trial with 3 different types of meds. My oncologist and I are happy with the one I was given.
To Colleen, is it Elrexfio? That’s how i’m getting my treatment, every othr week.
To Milton, I’m very afraid of needles & if i tell you that it’s not as bad as it seems..believe me. The medicine burns at a certain point. Now i’d NOT want to be getting shots in my knees as some do for knee pain.
All the best to you both🙏
Thank you for answering Colleen. I am glad it’s working for you. I couldn’t help but to wince when you mentioned where.! You are very brave! All of a sudden I am not looking forward to it as much !
