I was advised to wait 24 months after my transplant to get the measles vaccine. But in light of the present out break, they might be advising earlier. I felt really tired 3 days after getting the MMR. It's sad that vaccines have become so political.

Based on the provided search results, there isn't specific information about accelerated measles vaccines following autologous stem cell transplants (ASCT). However, it's important to note that after an ASCT, patients typically need various medications and treatments during their recovery period, including preventive medications like antibiotics, antivirals, and antifungals.

After undergoing an ASCT, patients will typically receive several years of maintenance medications to sustain the treatment response. The timing and types of vaccines needed post-transplant should be discussed with your transplant doctor, as they will create a personalized vaccination schedule based on your specific situation and recovery progress. If you have concerns about your vaccination schedule, it's recommended to discuss this directly with your healthcare team. They can evaluate your individual case and determine the appropriate timing for any needed vaccines based on your immune system recovery and overall health status.
