It's nice to know there's one more tool in the tool box...

Had the ablation 3 times for severe back pian. The first time it lasted for 12 months. 2nd time lasted for 6 months. 3rd time it didn't work at all.

I was evaluated for a basivertebral nerve ablation with RF but the pain guy sort of chickened out because of the tumor mass next to it (the tumor had been irradiated already). I need to see someone else because that is the biggest source of pain for me. It is a safe and effective treatment. PS: I couldn't have a kyphoplasty because the tumor ate a hole through the top of the vetebra.

I’ve had Kyphoplasty 3 times following spinal fractures, Radiofrequency ablation for diffuse back pain, and most recently had 10 days of radiation therapy for a large lesion on my right hip that was causing extreme pain. I had immediate relief from each of these treatments, but over time, the relief seems less effective. I don’t regret any of these (efforts) and wish I could say one and done knocked my socks off in great relief, but cannot go that far. I do wish you luck and success!

Nice to know. He uses kyphoplasty with this and I think only focuses on the spine. What if we could have this for every bone?
