Hi Miriam, I would highly recommend a human hair wig. It will be a long time without hair. If you have long hair it will take even longer. For woman it is for everyone to know that you have cancer. Everyone will approach you and ask about your disease. I bought an expensive fake hair wig and had to buy the human hair one.i got headaches and was sweating like crazy with the plastic wig.I would recommend investing in a healthy look that is including hair for me๐Ÿฅด in general dressing nicely is hugging and telling yourself that you will manage the disease! Wish the best to you. Today is my birthday. I made it now officially 3 years after being diagnosed with a life expectancy of some weeks. I am grateful and continue living my best life. No matter what it takes ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ™You can find strengths inside of you and your faith. God is great ๐Ÿ˜Š

Most insurance companies will pay for you to get a wig (prosthetic) but your Primary Care Manager (doctor or your oncologist) can put the paperwork in for you. All women absolutely do look beautiful with shaved heads, earrings, lashes and a cute lip color/gloss. Just my take! ๐Ÿ˜†

Good afternoon there are some Cancer Centers that help with wigs. One is the Susan G Komen and there also others sources. The Leukemia Lymphoma Society. I hope this helps. Crystal Randolph

I found Morrocco Method shampoo and conditioner helped my hair grow back as thick as it ever was! It's hard to get used to because it is non-sudsy, so no lather. I used it even on my bald head and I swear it helped my hair come back faster. I have been using it for six years now and have recommended it to friends who tried it and are still using it! I also tried their henna natural hair color, I loved it then, but have given up coloring my hair. You might think it's pricey, but each bottle lasts a long time. You can order the travel size to try it out.
