My pain is so severe I have to stay in bed most of the time.
I had back pain before I was diagnosed 7 years ago. It has gotten worse since then. I believe it’s a combination of my treatment, the MM, and getting older. Staying active, stretching exercises, applying heat and cold packs, helps reduce the pain.
Hard to distinguish between my and getting old sometimes
I also would not be able to blame my back pain on Revlimid. I am taking 10 mg as I am in remission. I have struggled with back pain since the 80’s; scoliosis, then spinal fusion, now compression fractures, arthritis and spinal stenosis (whew)!
Some days I spend a lot of time in my recliner ; Tylenol extra strength takes the edge off. I try and stay away from Oxy.
When I go out I use either a cane or a rollator/walker. I no longer drive as I cannot turn my head/neck.
Angie,
I hope you can find some relief soon.
Betsy
I had chronic back pain before my diagnosis in May 2023. It continues.
So many of the side effects of the cancer drugs are not new to me. I would have a very hard time distinguishing the cause.
I also had back pain long before I was diagnosed with MM. I'm 75 years old and I have to exercise and stretch to help with the pain
