After a treatment my Dr said you’re stable and he got Mayo Clinic to set me up.
I remember they didn’t want to do it too quickly and there’s a ton of tests before they do the transplant. I was done with induction in April. I had all the testing, the stem cells harvested and I got my SCT 06-02-2021.

Karen, it also depends on your genetic alterations. Some patients with standard risk myeloma are getting to MRD negativity with induction. They are able to forgo a transplant and go straight to maintenance. A question for your doctor.

For me l got this MM lgG lambda high risk on April 2023 straight away started the chemo for 8 cycles if l not mistaken and done the SCT on Nov 2023 . Now carry on with the chemo on maintenance for lifetime that the doctor told me, every day l took the linalidomide 10 mg and acyclovir 400 mg morning and night and aspirin. Take care of yourself and people out there will never know that you’re MM patient that my friend told me that you looked like a normal person but inside our body nobody knows that we suffering.
Thank you 🙏 😥
