It seems AI is giving good advice. I would suggest you find an oncologist who specializes in multiple myeloma.

I chose great doctors, and it is done in prayer. I do not listen to random people who have opinions about my or others health care that attempt to micromanage my decisions and my doctors. I see where patients are encouraged to stop a certain medication for relatively minor discomfort or a reaction. Yes, talk to your doctor but keep your eye on the ball about remission and a prolonged life.

I am having the same problem. I got two other opinions and sent them to my oncologist for his reaction. I may switch over if I don’t get good response. Also there is always patient relations who can help you switch to another doctor in the same institution

It is always good to know what treatment plan they have in mind for you. I would start asking a lot of questions. I was my husband advocate at every appointment. I had all the questions wrote down and talk to the specialist in length about every time. I would ask if this plan does not work what would be next to try. If you don’t have anyone to advocate for you…you have to be your own advocate. But he/she should be discussing your plans with you on a regular basis.

The day I met my doctor I liked him but did ask him about going to Boston. He welcomed me if I wanted to but I decided right away to go with him and some treatment started that day. He was involved with bring the stem cell transplant to the east coast from California as I was told. I would do anything he told me to do. I never listened to outdoor noise.
