I am told I have smoldering. it will last my life. chemo every 30 days. its ok i get lunch and coffee.
Systemic is an adjective that describes multiple myeloma. MM is spread throughout the circulatory system, which includes the bone marrow. It is systemic rather than localized.
Hello no I’m waiting to complete all of my testing so that the dr could let me know exactly which one I’m diagnosed with Smoldering or Asysyematic
SMM has less than 50% plasma cells in the bone marrow and no CRAB conditions (high calcium, renal failure, anemia, or bone lesions). Systemic myeloma is full-blown myeloma and as DGBurk says it is not localized as in a plasmacytoma.
I should have said that other diseases can be systemic as well.
