I have what is considered high risk myeloma. I didn’t have enough stem cells from the first harvesting attempt of four days so was sent home for two weeks of “rest”.

I thought stem cell harvesting was gonna kill me😢 I keep hearing from people that don't have any issues!!! I thought it was worse than the transplant. Was it because I had Cytoxan prior to harvesting? I'm really not a crybaby. I think harvesting is harder for some people than others. 😏

No it's not just you!! Paul you will do fine with transplant. I refused growth factors like Zarxia and Neupogen after transplant. I got so sick from them at harvesting.

I had my collection two or maybe three weeks ago. I am still so sick. I have G.I. issues. I have bone pain and fatigue. It is awful actually. I am seriously considering not having the transplant. We shall see.

They put a lot of drugs in your body in a short period of time. The growth factors are very powerful. I had severe bone pain, severe headache, gas, nausea and bloating. Some people don't get any symptoms🤨I had to detox from them. It took a couple of weeks. It stinks that you have to go through that again. I certainly hope you get enough the second go round🙏💕
