I don’t remember stopping my medication. I was scheduled two days of harvesting. But they were able to collect enough cells in one day.

I don’t remember being off treatments at all but I remember taking Neupogen to increase the production of the stem cells and I gave them 18 million stem cells in one day and had 2 SCTs but because of my age they won’t do a third one. I also don’t remember having any pain during the procedure.

I had my last treatment on a Tuesday, began growth shots on that Thursday and began harvesting the following Monday.

Hi Sharon,
I don’t remember how many cells they took. But it’s straight forward procedure. I haven’t felt any pain during the process.

Thanks! I had Dara and Velcade just 10 days before and was worried that was the reason for my low harvest the first day. I have been taking Claritin every morning and no bone pain. Pretty cool!
