My first remission was one year.
Do you think the second one will be shorter?
I read about this .I think my second remission is not going to be one year.
Does anyone experience this?

Hello Lejla;
You must be very thankful you have the opportunity to try and achieve another remission period. Embrace the opportunity and the hope this second chance provides. Try and put your anxieties into the back of your mind. Prepare for the hope that lies ahead of you. All of us on your team are rooting for you!

I had a SCT Dec of 22 and considered in remission until April of 23. 😳Traditionally this is not a good sign (cuts survival in half) BUT we have brand new drugs being used now and CarT Cell Therapy available. More than has ever been. So everyday I am grateful for my current treatment, future treatments and the the side effects will be few. My God is the only one that has my “date” so no sense in worrying about that because it’s not on my hands!
Find something or someone to to be thankful for everyday! ❤️

Lejla, hopefully they can find a treatment that controls your myeloma. Some people can't get into a complete response. But it doesn't mean they don't do well on treatment.

I have not been able to achieve remission and it is over five years since I started treatment. I hope you are able to achieve remission and stay in it for along time. I have not able to have a Stem cell or Car-t done as I am in my 80's.
