Never give up. The pharmaceutical companies are coming out with new therapies every day. Just hang in there. I myself had breast cancer about 25 years ago. Went through intensive chemotherapy and radiation all by myself. Survived that. Then several years later I was diagnosed with polycythemia Vera and was on a chemo pill for years until just 2 month ago when I was diagnosed with stage 2 multiple myeloma. I’ll be 83 next month and I’m going to fight to live as long as I can. Hang in there. This is a great website to talk to people through. Good luck.

Just an encouraging word this Christmas! No matter how debilitating this miserable disease can be, we are all still here Thank God to enjoy another Holiday with our family and friends. I’m living proof that a Positive Attitude is so important for survival . This is my 23 rd year!!! Thank you Revlimid

I used to read all of the information articles I could on this site, they are useful but sometimes they just made me worry more. I am truly happy despite the constant pain, neuropathies, etc., but can laugh, appreciate everything, and find my prayers are no longer for me, but for everyone in the cancer community. It’s hard work being sick.!

I have three transplants over the past sixteen years. The last was treatment for ALL. They may be old therapy, but they worked for me. Considering that I was given no chance of survival overnight when I first entered the hospital, fifteen years is not too bad. Every treatment has its problems, just as every patient is different, Happy holidays to everyone and hope to wish that to you next year. George Duran.
