Hi! My name is Michelle! I am in complete remission, after chemo, radiation and Stem cell transplant. I was on Revlimid for 1 1/2years. I have been off it since October 2021. I went off due side effects and my hemetologist concurred. I am in complete remission and have been since I stopped revlimid. I still get.Zometa every 3months for bone strength. Please confirm if this is the right path with your onco/hemetologist? I am 64, and in excellent health with positive blood work. We are all.different however. I always.consult my treatment team before making decisions and I believe that should always be the case. Having said that, I am in remarkably good health and ALMOST back to pre-treatment health-care with ongoing health monitoring!

A few days ago I watched and interview with news Anchorman,Tom Brokaw, who was diagnosed with MM 2014, not sure if he had SCT because of age but he’s takes Revilmid and said that’s the only thing keeping him going. You should goggle the interview. He talked about the cost of medication and Doctors who treat MM many are stuck on certain medications for their patients regardless if they’re working or not and the should be espoused like bad car dealer or other business.

Yes, I have, however I did not have a SCT. I took it the whole time my MM was active but it was causing a lot of GI disturbances and some other symptoms including severe headaches. I did suffer from migraines when I was younger. When I went into remission my oncologist took me off of the Revlimid. I have remained in remission for several years now.
I think a lot has to do with the type of MM you have been diagnosed with.

This my second transplant and I’m not on revlimid but personally I don’t like it you stay tried and your energy is gone. I’m in remission and they giving me injections in my stomach. Now it every3 months and it hurts because of thickness in needle…
