Does Anyone Feel Like They Are Hooked On The Drugs That Take For Treatment Of Cancer?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

There's sometimes I feel great for a couple days after having my treatments then I can't wait for my next appointment so I can get that same feeling again I'm not saying that I don't feel good for a whole week after treatment but the first couple days are my best days Does anyone else go through this with their treatments?

It sounds like you are getting dexamethasone with your treatments. They are not addictive. They do help the chemo work better to get rid of the myeloma. It is probably a good thing that you tolerate them well. Make sure you are doing some weight bearing exercises and some exercises so you don't lose muscle mass. They do have side effects πŸ’—

Sometimes I think im hooked on the morphine ER that I take for back pain and neuropathy but I stop for 3–4 days just to make sure and just take Tylenol ,heat, THC and do little or nothing during those days but the Morphine ER stops 85% of my issues. My oncologist said that Im not hooked it works for me where the hydrocortisone and some othe pain medication requires constant increase in strength dosage to be effective

Man I wish I felt good after Velcade treatment. I feel little or nothing until 3 days and fatigue sets in for 3 days.

Yes dex, valcade and darabum. Zometa every 3 months. I feel wonderful for a couple days after treatment then fatigue set in after about 3 days. I guess the dex have me so jack up is the reason I'm feeling so good. My Onc reduce the dex from 5 tablets to 3 tablets and i only take them the day of my treatments and the day after.
