Since discharge have horrible leg, hip, and back pain. Oncologist said this happens to some people post transplant. I have gotten virtually no sleep. Oncologist prescribed Oxycodone. Not working too well. Pain worse at night. Would like to hear from others who may have had this and what worked. Oncologist said this could go on for several weeks. Please help.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Most people on hear seem to have had a good experience. Please keep letting the nurses know what is not working and find something that does. The on call doctors need to change up something. Focus the the next thing, walk, reading, exercises, etc. It helps to have a small routine.

I have left hip pain at the side and back. Been working on it at the gym with some improvement. Started PT again. She says my muscles are extremely tight and the pain is from my glute as it attaches at my hip. Her deep pressure massage is very sore when she does it but it is helping. Also stretching to touch my toes is lengthening my muscles which helps. She wants to do dry needling which I may do as well. She feels this can breakup and release the toxins trapped in my muscles.

Did you get growth factors like Neupogen or Zarxia? Sounds like the pain I had with them. Hopefully it's your bone marrow doing its job. Oxycodone didn't help me either, but it stopped in about 5 days 💕 someone on here took Celebrex, that helped. I would be too anxious to add more drugs to the mix💗
