Has anyone experienced liver problems either caused by the MM or caused by the drug treatments?
I believe that Liver function can be a side effect. I am working with an integrative doctor along with my regular oncologist. Integrative doctor checked my ferritin level and it was way too high. This can damage your liver as it is way too much iron in the blood. As much blood work as I have had even through world renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital no one looked. I can't go to have a blood donation which is a quick way to lower it because I have a very low white count. My integrative doctor is lowering it with some medication. Side note to this is cancer can feed off of that high iron. Ask to have it checked.
Have not had any liver problems, but a big problem with back pain.
I had about a month that my liver enzymes were slightly elevated. Have CT done and there were no problems other than a fatty liver. But everything on me is fat!! Lol
JeanAng some chemo can cause sores in the mouth. Rinse mouth with hotwater with tbs salt and tbs baking soda. Or have doctor prescribe Magic Mouthwash. Usually that’s one of the questions the nurse always asks when I go in for treatment is if I have any sores in my mouth. They should be able to help.
I get elevated liver enzymes from revlimid , then I get a few weeks off of my cycle and it normalizes. I have taken it for almost a year and this just started happening, but it's not a concern to the team
